Acid engraving (chemical etching) does not create a heat-affected zone (HAZ). This means the material's temper and internal structure remain unchanged, which is vital for spring components or magnetic shields. Furthermore, etching processes all apertures simultaneously, making it more cost-effective for complex patterns.
